QUOTE OF THE DAY : " Thats why Zimbabweans now jokingly refer to Gono as a mere teaboy of RSA Reserve Bank Chief Tito Mboweni and Fed Chairman Bernanke. So to have grown ups like the perennial election loser , Patrick Chinamasa claiming that Gono is going nowhere defies logic " - GMRI CAPITAL SENIOR POLITICAL ANALYST - GARIKAI CHIMUKA

SHAME ON YOU, CAESAR ZVAYI! My former Geography teacher, Ceasar Zvayi's recent utterances cannot go unchallenged.

CEASAR ZVAYI

Attempts to blow his personal problems into a National disaster should be condemned by all well-meaning Zimbabweans. His deportation from the Republic of Botswana is purely a personal matter that he should deal with quietly.

How many people are deported or expelled from different countries daily, Mr Zvayi? Just because you have access to large tracts of space in the Herald does not mean you should make noise for us.

The writer was particularly incensed last week by Zvayi's attempts to expose and ridicule President Seretse Khama's personal life.

First and foremost, Mr Khama's marital status is none of your business, Mr Zvayi or any of your readers'. Marriage was never and will never be mandatory or compulsory.

It is his personal choice to be celibate and that should not be a matter of concern to you. The mere fact that you spent time digging into Mr Khama's 57 years of existence reflects the shallowness of your thinking capacity.

There are surely more pressing issues in our country where you could use your 'investigative' abilities. We simply do not care if 15 virgins eloped to you Mr Zvayi, that’s your business.

You are surely an embarrassment to the whole Herald establishment where the nation is grappling with a myriad of problems you decide to trespass into Mr Khama's private life and in the process abuse your position at Herald House.

Unlike you, Mr Khama has never abused his position and forced himself on a surbodinate. He can absolutely marry any woman he wants at a time he so wishes.

Elected or not, Seretse Khama is presiding over one of the best performing economies in Africa and you surely have to be suffering from jaundice not to see why Botswana is now second-home to millions of Zimbabweans.

Unlike many 'elected' leaders he does not need your approval for what Pan-Africanism really is.

Pan-Africanists do not run away when their leaders need them most, Mr Zvayi. The mere fact that you decided to relocate to Botswana during the run-up to the 'historic' June run-off election speaks volumes of your allegiance to the regime.

As a Pan-Africanist you should have defended your values as you have religiously done for the past decade and the University of Botswana is surely the last place you could have been.

You should have seen the struggle against imperialist forces come to its logical conclusion as you have barking for the last 10years at Herald House. A coward you are Caesar Zvayi, and it is such a shame that that colossal frame belies your thinking ability.

That John Makumbe, Lovemore Madhuku et al are still on the UZ payroll does not in any way reflect that Zimbabwe still upholds democratic tendencies.

Those are the best brains we still have in our country, hallo! That is what truly defines patriotism and Pan-Africanism.There is a plethora of vacancies at UZ and patriots simply apply and start teaching.Mr Khama surely could not stomach you poisoning students at UB with your propaganda.

His government looks after their from grade one and it is surely within his powers, elected or not, to see to it that they are not poisoned at the very last stage of their academic lives!

Had you applied for a janitorial position at UB, you would still be in Gaborone as we speak; but the mere fact a packed lecture theatre would listen to you da in-day out was just counting too much on your luck Mr Zvayi! That is why not even a single student came to defend their 'lecturer' as you were bundled into the police van.

It was good riddance. The reason for your deportation was simply the same as the one Tafataona Mahoso gives in denying CNN correspondents entry into the country.

Perhaps Mr Khama is trying to hide his dirt from you Mr Zvayi!! To all Zimbabweans-we surely deserve better than this.

Our country has been reduced to appalling levels due to people suffering from jaundice like Caesar Zvayi. Many people are going through exactly the same ordeal you experienced in Botswana.

The only difference is that, they, unlike you are experiencing it in their motherland and they have no where to be deported to.

My advice-you did a great job in Geography and students really miss you-consider bouncing back, Please!

Just in the same way your bosses folded hands and watched in awe as you were humiliatingly deported, they will watch when change comes to Harare soon and you will be faced with a lot of explaining.

Dandemutande rinobata marize, ne mapete asi madzvinyu achingomhanya zvawo! Please Zimbabwe lets pray for people like Caesar Zvayi for the Lord to open the eyes of their hearts so that they see the nasty and painful experiences people are going through in Zimbabwe.
